Healing Justice works to provide support, reconciliation, and recovery in the aftermath of exonerations. As part of this work, it is critical to hear directly from exonerees about the challenges and obstacles faced after exoneration. Exonerees attending this session will engage in a conversation about their own post-exoneration experiences, as well as about ideas for providing support to one another and ideas for programs that could help meet exonorees' needs. This session will be facilitated by individuals who have experience listening to exonerees and understanding their experiences. It will also involve healing circles aimed at sharing stories and recovering from trauma. Healing circles provide a safe space in which people who have suffered similar trauma can come together and speak openly about their trauma and leave feeling healed or on the road to recovery.
