Inger Hampton Chandler received her undergraduate degree in English from Mississippi University for Women in 1995. After five years in the chemical industry, she returned to school and earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2003. She has been employed as a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney's Office since August, 2003. During her time with the District Attorney's office she has been assigned to the Trial Bureau, the Family Criminal Law Division, the Juvenile Division, and the Post-Conviction Writs Division. Inger is currently the Chief of the Conviction Integrity Unit, where she litigates post-conviction requests for DNA testing and investigates claims of actual innocence.
