Nilam A. Sanghvi is the Pennsylvania Innocence Project’s senior staff attorney. Nilam received her J.D. in 2002 and L.L.M in 2014 from the Georgetown University Law Center. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable William B. Shubb (E.D. Cal.) and the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro (3d Cir.). She then litigated in private practice, ultimately becoming a partner at Schnader Harrison in Philadelphia. Nilam then became a supervising attorney and teaching fellow at Georgetown’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, which led her to full-time public interest work. Nilam also teaches Appellate Advocacy at Penn Law and is a trustee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.
