Ronnie Sandoval-Carmona, the mother of Arthur Carmona, fought tirelessly during Arthur’s wrongful conviction and traveled all over the State of California to keep in touch with her son and encourage him. Arthur was wrongfully convicted of two armed robberies when he was just 16 years old. He was tried as an adult, sentenced to 17 years in State Prison, and freed 2 ½ years later. He passed away in 2008. Ronnie keeps her son’s legacy alive by speaking out against wrongful convictions, is the co-founder of Arthur's Center for the Wrongfully Convicted, and the secretary for Obie Anthony’s non-profit, Exonerated Nation.
