Russell Wilson II built a highly successful private law practice, and in 2011 was handpicked by the Dallas District Attorney to direct Dallas’s Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU). Under Wilson’s direction, the CIU acknowledged prosecution missteps, actively corrected mistakes, and spearheaded the exoneration of 13 men. After his service at the DA’s office, Russell returned to private practice where he works on a variety of civil and criminal cases. Russell also serves as adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law where he teaches an ethics course. Wilson received his JD with honors from University of Oklahoma College of Law.
